First Kisses

Just got an awesome email about kissing. Want to get a discussion going over here about all things kiss related. It can be daunting, no? We all remember the nerves and the worries that we would be bad at it.

Take the ball and run.

    Heh.

    I’m going to pass on exactly the same advice I was given when I was younger. I didn’t listen to it, and I doubt anyone reading this topic will listen to it either. But looking back, it was absolutely right, and I kinda wish I had listened to it a bit more.

    All that shyness and awkwardness and the little hint of fear…. That’s what makes the first one so good. So don’t panic and rush it. Drag it out. Savor it. Not just the kiss itself - savour the build up as well. There’s always this little moment of tension the first time you go to kiss someone. That’s a very, very good thing. Enjoy it. :D

    And don’t be too concerned about how well you perform with your first kiss. It really, really doesn’t matter. The kiss itself is what counts.

    Heh. My first kiss I totally panicked and leaned in too far. I hit my teeth against hers. She pulled back and hit me on the arm. “Ze lips of ze girl is ze delicate flower,” she said in an adorably fake Russian accent. “You do not crush ze flower! You /caress/ ze flower. Now… Try again.”

    God, I just read that back and I sound so girly. Oh well. I’ll pick my testicles up on the way out.

    Ahhh…the first kiss…I almost missed. It was ok I guess, nothing special. Thats what the second, third, and fourth kiss is for. Practice makes perfect.

    PilotJeff always says, “Practice safe eating, use condiments!”

    The first kiss I most recently had (December ‘06) was wonderfully tense right up until it actually happened.

    We had met online, chatted for months, and finally I came to visit her. No kiss at the airport (which I fully expected), no kiss in the car, no kiss at the park or the other places we hung around having fun at.

    Once it got dark I checked into my hotel and she came up, and as I walked through the dark room to the window with my arms full of bags she came up behind me. My first thought was, “Oh. She didn’t turn on the lights… Woo!” I turned to her and her face was upturned, and you just new it was coming. No stress, no anxiety. Just natural, perfect kisses.

    Later on I found out she simply couldn’t find the light switch.

    When I was about 15, one of my friends’ parents thought it was a good idea to let their teenage kids and all their buddies drink around them. The idea was supposed to be that they could supervise the kids and make sure they didn’t get in too much trouble. Well, it did prevent us from driving while drunk, but, other than that, not a lot of supervising was going on. So, I went to a big party they threw, had a few cocktails and ended up making out with some guy at the beach. This set the tone for the rest of my young dating life, I’m afraid. I wasn’t nervous, after a bunch of tequila sunrises, but I don’t think I would have picked that guy to suck face with if I’d been sober.

    My first kiss happened when I was in the fourth grade! Yes I was so young, but it happened and I don’t regret it. It didn’t make me messed up or become promiscuous. I encountered my boyfriend Brett at a school book sale at the high school, my sis was volunteering for it and I had hoops practice in the gym a couple of hours from that time, so killing two birds I went with her to the book sale, and then he walked in with his mom and we made off towards one of the back hallways in the school, which connects to the auditorium via a small entry way which concealed us. He told me he wanted to kiss me, and the next thing you know he was leaning in and I had butterflies as our lips touched, and then he kissed me again several times and before I knew it we were making out and he started french kissing and that got to be awkward. Then his mom was yelling for him and he left, and I started planning the wedding…obviously our flowering relationship didn’t last, as I’ve had many many boyfriends since, and now finally a fiancee

    Hahaha my first Kiss was a very funny kiss now that I thank of it. It was I guess in 6th grade so about 10 or 11 years ago. I was at my girlfriends house along with my cousin and some of there girlfriends. Seeing that there was about 4 girls and I the only guy they all stated talking about how cute we where and then “DARED” us to kiss. I didnt want to Cause I was a weird person and not like anyof the other boys who would jump on that moment. haah jk I was just scared and didnt really feel rright i guess you could say. Anyways all I can remember about the kiss is me biting her tounge hahahah. Although we are not togther anymore I still have my laughs about that moment. becuase it was my first and OUR last kiss. Now i am engaged to a beautiful girl whom I have never bit her tounge, Hard anyways!!

    My first kiss was at 15. It was a dare to kiss the girl I had a huge crush on. Our mutual friends egged us into it. We were supposed to kiss for 30 seconds and instead it lasted for alot longer. All these little details stay with me. Friends oohing and aahing. The cold air. The electronic sign of my high school flashing. How she smelled like soap and tasted like grape bubble-yum. How she smiled at me after we stopped and said “Damn” in this perfect, breathless way. 15 years later and it’s still there.

    My girlfriend of today, we kissed while “Somebody to love” played on the stereo and she was chewing bubble-yum too. First kisses are great.

    My first kiss happened while we were watching “Killer Klowns from Outer Space”
    and by god it was one of the best kisses I’ve ever had, the first is always memorable

    wow. first kiss.
    so i was at the local fast food shop.And it was right after a c.c meet. This boy would not stop talking to me. We had to go. He went in for a hug. i hugged back then all of a sudden SMACK. right on my lips. totally unexpected and totally wrong. I was so surprised i didn’t realize he licked my chin too.

    My first real kiss was probably the most hilarious thing of my life.

    I was thirteen, and my boyfriend, with my “boyfriend” at the time. We would walk from our own school together and then go to the elementary school to get our younger siblings. His mom was always in the parking lot so we never “did anything”, ahaha. He told me as we were leaving our school that he had cheated on me, and we were fighting the whole walk there. We would always sit in the playground together, as a joke sort of. I sat on the swings and my mouth was shut for the first time that day. He walked over to me and kissed me.

    I fell off the swing.

    Oooh, my first kiss was in the seventh grade. My class was on a vision quest by a river but I refused to sleep outdoors so I bunked in a tent. One of my friends had dropped her sleeping bag in the river on accident so I invited her to come and stay in my tent so she didn’t freeze. Not too long before this, she had come out as bi and so had I. Anyway, we were sitting up, talking about the coming out stuff and that sort of thing when we started talking about who was cute in our class. I admitted to having a crush on her and she admitted to having one on me. At this point, another friend, who had gotten cold outside, barged in and we all decided to go to sleep. Anyway, so my friend/crush and I were cuddling and she starts mumbling in her sleep (in Japanese, so I had NO idea what she was saying) and I wake her up to see if she was ok. She asked what she said and I tried to repeat it. She translated it for me (I don’t remember what she said, something pretty sweet) and then we stared at each other for a few minutes and all of sudden we kissed.

    Thus my rambling story.

    My first kiss with my last girlfriend took place during the watching of Spaceballs. The whole night was pretty funny, especially since some guy was hitting on me, despite the fact that I kept telling him that I was a lesbian and had NO interest in men whatsoever. But that’s a whole nother story.

    My first kiss was with my first boyfriend when I was 15 years old. We were walking down the street and passed a candy store. I went inside and whined until he bought me one of those giant swirly stick lollypops. We left and I was sucking on it (definitely not as subtly as I thought at the time) when, because I was distracted, I hit myself in the face with it. We both lasughed histerically and he just came over and kissed me. It seemed like it lasted forever, and it tasted all warm and sugary because of the lollypop. It was also a full moon. Perfect.

    aright so. . i was in 6th grade and me and my boyfriend were about to kiss for the first time on the playground, then everyone came around us started to yell KISS KISS KISS so we did. . then i ran away!!! it was so sad hahah

    the first kiss with my last BF. he was walking me to the doors of the high school after my volleyball game and we gave a hug good bye (the usual). and then we went for it! it was so cute! and it led to making out and us smiling!!! :]

    But the one that i had during the summer is one that i will never forget! me and my friend were just shooting hoops at a park one night, and we knew that we kinda had a thing for each other, but we were joking around about who was better and we were basically face to face and then we both stopped and just woop kiss. and then i dropped the ball and we just kept kissing! it was soo cute!!!!! hahaha like the moviessss :]

    First kiss was at summer camp (Appel Farm). The camp had this little trail over some stagnant water and behind some trees that set the camp apart from the fields nearby. The trail had a small bridge over the standing water, and we were both sitting on it, as the sun inched towards setting. We were young, 13, and were holding hands when we just looked at each other and went for it. It was simple, long and no tongue, and I know I kept my eyes open the whole time. We were late to the dining hall, but what a first kiss.

    There’s another kiss that happened first that I should probably count, but it was a 15 year old girl who offered to teach me how to kiss, because some girls had been asking, and it felt all kinds of wrong. Devoid of meaning and whatnot. She described my tongue as “a lizard” and I promptly washed my mouth for ten minutes, feeling immoral.

  15. 15 Tony

    My first kiss wasn’t all that spectacular in story form, but I would have to say it was incredibly satisfying, if not just a little awkward.

    My friend was over at my house helping me study and we were alone in one of the rooms in my house. We were sitting on the couch, sitting dangerously close to each other (you could have seen it coming a mile away) and we kept looking up at each other with our faces really close together.

    We were not going out at the time so I was really hesitant about kissing her (not to mention I had never kissed anyone before). After a few seconds she would blow into my face and turn away quickly, like I was taking too long, until she finally said, “Eres introvertido?” which was her way of giving me the go ahead. We kissed; I was surprised to find out she went the whole nine yards with the kissing thing–licking and using her tongue a lot. Anyone besides me think that’s a little much for the first kiss? Especially since we weren’t going out yet?

  16. 16 Tamsen

    Oh man, my first kiss was akward and all wrong. I was so nervous, I left quickly every time my then-boyfriend would drop me off from a date. Finally, I figured I should just get the thing over with! I was jittery and went straight in with tongue, and it was awful. Later I confessed the obvious to the guy, and he laughed it off - saying he was glad I went all-in, it meant I wanted more of him. That sounds sexual and wrong, but it was sweet - that my akwardness translated to a burgeoning love? Okay, maybe it was sexual and wrong.

  17. 17 lala

    My first was so boring. He rammed his tongue in my mouth but I didn’t know any better. I remember watching that video clip Shimmer by the band Fuel over his shoulder and thinking “When is this going to end? Should I pull away now or will he get offended?”

    Then I went out with this guy who was an amazing kisser and taught me alot.

    My current boyfriend hadn’t had much experience with girls before me so I’m loving teaching him new stuff and stopping him doing what’s not so nice.
    It’s not as exciting as the guy I mention above but it’s cool now he’s taking the initiative and I can feel him getting better. woo!

  18. 18 Kelsey

    Ahh, my first kiss.
    I wasn’t going out with the guy at the time, but we were sitting on my driveway, and he was holding me. I looked back at him to tell him something and his lips just landed on mine. It was really sweet and light, and I think that I got an energy surge because I went, “Do that again,” in this really soft voice. AHAHAH.
    Mmm, and my first kiss with my latest ex-boyfriend, it wasn’t sweet at all. >:/ IF you know what I meannn.

    And those are my stories. :DD

    My first kiss… I was in fifth grade, i don’t know what age that makes you. I had a really big crush on the boy that sat behind me in class. But figured he’d never ever like me. One day I was turned around talking to him (like always, my teacher barely knew what my face looked like). And he asked me if i wanted to come over to his house after school the next day. So the next day we walked to his house, he carried my backpack. We got snacks, climbed into the tree house and we were doing homework. He was helping me with history and then he kissed me. No tongue, just a long very adorable kiss. Then he pulled away and had a giant smile on his face. It was adorable.

    We dated again in highschool for like nine months.

    My most recent first kiss was with this guy who I liked a lot very fast. We went to a party then back to my apartment. I didn’t have a bed yet and we were fighting over the couch and watching a movie. He got up to go to the bathroom and i stole the whole couch (muhaha) when he came back he layed next to me and kissed me. It was insanely awkward and nose bumping. After he was like, um…. try it again. it was really cute. That was probably the most awkward first kiss i’ve had. But still good, and totally unexpected.
    Him coming to my apartment wasn’t meant to sound like we were going to have sex. It was just a cheaper cab ride for me, him, my roommate, and her dude to all go to the same place.

    My first kiss? Well more like my first real kiss. Kisses in the past were only pecks and whatnot, but I’m pretty sure a first kiss is for at least 5-10 seconds straight. Ok, on to the story haha. I had gone to my friends Halloween party and soon as I got there I remembered that it was Halloween and forgot to dress up. F*ck. So I just acted nonchalant and just enjoyed myself. I knew a few people but not that well. I started drinking till my hearts content and got pretty damn smashed. Then I saw her. The girl that babysat next door to our house. Her name was Steph. She was a really nice and a plump girl at that, cute too. I went over and said hi to her and she was like “Omg hi!!” and we started chatting. Mind you, she was pretty drunk too. So was I =). The party kept going on and we went outside to go smoke a few doobs :D:D:D! S***ty thing is is that I had quit marijuana a while ago, so I only took one toke and I was set for the night *Especially after an 8 pack of cold shots and half a 26… zzz* Outside we were chilling and Dustin *guy who will date any girl* asked Steph to go over to the side of the house for a minute. She obliged and went over with him. HAHAHAHHAA, he.. I can’t believe this, he asked her if she’d ever kissed a canadian guy. Creepy much? She said no and he said do you want to? Without even knowing him… She just replied with a no thank you and peaced it. He kept trying to get with her so I’m like, “Hey Steph wanna go inside”? “SURE!!” *Haha, sucks to be you Dustin* Inside we go and we go and sit in the living room. No one was in the room with us, everyone was in the other room and we were all alone. All alone :). Now she was sober, and I was the drunk one. We were talking for a bit, and then I asked if she was having fun at the party, and she said that the fun began when I arrived. *Mind you guys, I was a complete hammer f***ing show at that party, sadly everyone was laughing and enjoying my comedic act… for some reason, I think… LOL* At that moment I knew she was into me. So I asked her, have you ever kissed anyone before? She said she had but not really that well, only with girls mainly. I told her that I was also inexperienced and that I needed practice..*OY I WAS DRUNK OK?! haha* So then I asked her “yea…. question… would you be offended if I asked for a kiss?” “No.. :D” YEYYA!!!!!!SCORE!!!JACKPOT!!!!! *Mind you again, this was a Halloween party, freaky sh** was hanging off the walls, not a good romantic moment… but I was drunk so whatever haha. So I leaned in. Then leaned a bit back, and studdered, whispered onto her mouth that I’m not sure how its done.. She said that you never know till you try. I went for it. Her lips were so succulent and soft… and then I got the hang of it.. the kiss lasted about 6 seconds, and my spirit was lifted. I asked her if she wanted another and she replied “Yes…” I was kissing her for about an hour, till someone came in. Haha… it was a really good moment, i remember it all too clearly. Now there are two funny things about this. First one: We went to third base at the party. LOL. Yea……… Second thing: Ironic about this? She liked me before the party, she’s liked me for about 1-2years. Weird huh…?

  21. 21 BSimm

    Had my first kiss last summer. I’d always been the odd one out of my friends group, the only one not to have been kissed. Or shagged. I should probably say I’m female (don’t want to be mistaken for a boy ever again!)

    So, I was visiting London, and while I was there I met up with a girl I’d met on the internet. I’d known her for a few years, and we were having a sort of long-distance relationship. We went to a pub, had a glass of wine, all good fun… And then she pretends to see something very interesting somewhere, and excitedly tells me to come closer, I must see this! I did, looked, and seeing nothing I asked her what it was… And then she grabbed me and kissed me.

    I remember very vaguely what it felt like (alcohol, I’m very lightweight), it was a little clumsy, but it was perfect. I absolutely love her for giving me the best first kiss I could imagine.

  22. 22 Lisaaa

    hahaha…o wow…my 1st kiss was the last day of 6th grade…..we were both prude….and i was sh*ting myself i was so nervous….now we had been going out…and he broke up with me a few dayz be4 my b-day and then the last day of school he confessed his love…lol…he gave me a poem=D….which i weirdly still have…………………and the weird part was we planned it the night before online….like where and when….which made it that more nerve racking and it was only a peck..HAHAHA…i look bak and it cracks me up how scared i was…..so adivcee……..dont be 2 nervous…….just enjoy and learn…..1st time usually isnt great..but trust me……it gets muchhh better=D

    My very first kiss was when I was thirteen, completely expected and involving way too much tongue. But I was thirteen and I thought maybe that was how it was supposed to go.

    My second first kiss was the next boyfriend. We were friends, but when we had first met he’d asked me out and not knowing him, I said no. Then I got a bit of a crush on him. We were sitting outside after a school dance. I was fourteen. He said, “I wish we could just stay here and not go home.” I glanced at him and said, “Race you,” and took off around the edge of the building. He caught up to me halfway around, and we walked a bit until he asked me, “What are you thinking?”

    I turned to face him and said, “Do you like me, or am I crazy?”

    He told me, “You’re not crazy,” and kissed me.

    My third first kiss was at…well, still fourteen, I suppose…and with a boy I had a huge crush on. We were stuck in a group of people, social obligation not to go and be alone somewhere, and he said he was going to throw something away. I waited for about three minutes, said, “I think he’s gotten lost,” and went upstairs after him. He was just opening the door and was surprised to see me there. I said, “I thought you’d gotten lost,” and he said, “Not–not lost…” and I kind of took him by the hand and pulled him sideways and we sank against the wall. I’m not sure who kissed who. I do remember that it went on for a long time and that it made me see colors on my eyelids.

    I’m still with him. It’s been over a year.

  24. 24 Shmemily

    My first kiss was about a year ago, with another girl.
    Later she pretended nothing happened.
    Ive NEVER kissed a boy, and i dont want to.
    And I’d give anything to kiss her again.

  25. 25 PrettyFlower

    It is so funny to think of first kisses. I remember I was about 14 and I was going out with my first real boyfriend. We decided to go to the movies to watch school of rock, and he decided to bring his little brother. Throughout the whole movie I was super nervous, almost not even paying attention to the movie. Finally I feel his hand on my arm and he says “Hey”….my heart begins pounding, and he grabs my face and moves it towards his. At this point I’m thinking it’s not so bad, relax. Then he decides to stick his pointy stiff tongue in my mouth, I was 14 and had never kissed. I immediately pulled away and realized his little brother was next to us, and I just found it inappropriate to kiss when he was a seat next to us, not to mention I really didn’t want to kiss him. So that became my excuse, haha. At one point he actually told his brother to move so we could make out, so unattractive. I just avoided it all night. Needless to say, we never kissed again.

    The kiss I’d like to consider my FIRST REAL KISS, was about 6 months after that. I was 15 and was a freshman in highschool, I was going out with a senior. I was crazy about him. He asked me when we went out if I had ever kissed anyone, and I told him no. And he respected that, and said he wouldn’t try to rush me to. There were a few instances where he tried and I moved my head, and he would always hug me and say “It’s okay” and kiss me on the cheek. Finally one day we were both laying on the bed in my room watching karate kid. It was super quiet and there was no one home. I could feel the tension and nervousness. I wanted to kiss him. Finally he grabs my tummy and I grab his hand and he softly moves my face towards his. At this point I’m shaking a little and he notices! and says “are you okay? don’t worry about it, lets just watch the movie” and i say no no im just a little nervous. so he says okay. and he softly kisses my lips. my heart was beating so fast. it was so soft and sensual. and thats mine! to this day i hate pointy tongues, and love soft kisses. so guys out there, no pointy tongues!

  26. 26 Kelsey

    My first kiss just happened about five months ago. It was five days before my 15th birthday. I had been flirting with this guy whom I’d been friends with for awhile. We had just went out for pizza with our group of friends from jazz band. I leaned over to my best friend and told her “I’m totally crushing on him!”, she replies with “I know!” we decide to have a nice friendly game of truth or dare. (I know, so mature for a group of high schoolers :D) This guy and I sit next to each other, knees touching, his hand nearly touching mine, perfect. We go around the circle and it finally gets to me. My best friend doesn’t even let me decide on if I want a truth or dare she just goes “I dare you to kiss Corey! Do it NOW!” and we do. It was soft and a little wet. I knew that he was way more experienced than me, but it was still a nice feeling to have my first kiss be from a friend. We ended up holding hands on the way home and kissing once more when we dropped him off at home. The next day was wonderful because he asked me to be his girlfriend, he whispered it in my ear whilst giving me a hug. :) We ended up going out for four months, breaking up twice, making out while we were broken up because we missed it, and now we keep hinting at going for it again. I know, we’re crazy and I don’t even know if I’m that into guys. He has been the only guy I’ve been attracted to before, ever.

    Well, that was way too much information. Sorry. Here’s some closing advice: Don’t be scared for your first kiss with anyone, just go for it if it feels right.

  27. 27 Mackenzie

    my first kiss was one that i wish i could redo. i was 13 and was dating this really nice boy who absolutely thought the world of me. he wasn’t allowed to go to school dances but he told me to go without him and that he trusted me, i could dance with whoever i wanted. niether of us had ever been kissed yet(only cheeks), so it was the furthest thing from his mind(i think) i had this friend who i always hung out with at the dances, even though he was too old and not suposed to be there. i was dancing with him for like the third slow song that night and he kissed my forhead “how sweet” i thought, then my cheek “umm.. okay” then my lips, oh dear!”i’m sorry?” i walked away midsong. i felt so bad! even worse, he called me later, he not only knew i HAD a boy friend but he KNEW him! he was getting a little too tuchy feelly anyway but then asked me out to dinner to “talk it over”. in the end i had to tell my boy friend the truth, it was hard but in the end was right.

  28. 28 Elizabeth

    Well, my first kiss, lamely, happened when i was fifteen years of age. It was my first time ever drinking alcohol and all of my friends and i were on my best friends’ back porch. Well of course someone brought up truth or dare, and my best friend dared this yucky guy (eventually turning out to be my first boyfriend) to kiss me. It was weird, awkward, and i embarrassed myself completely.

    My first kiss with my most recent boyfriend was somewhat of a surprise. It was cute, sweet and worth it =D HEHE i get excited just thinking about it.

    Stupid truth or date

  29. 29 Jasmine

    wow… the story of my first kiss with my boyfriend is very funny.

    I knew him through other friends, and we all hung out together during the school year. During last summer, we happened to both be going to a mini-summer camp thing. we talked all through the camp, and ate lunch with each other every day. Then the summer moved on, and my crush intensified.

    The 2nd week after school started, i was talking to him on AIM one day when i finally got up the nerve to ask him if he liked me. after a while, he admitted that he did.

    After that, we started officially dating. And this is where our first kiss comes in.

    He picked me up from work, and drove me to the movies, then to dinner. after dinner, he drove me back to my car.

    It was a little awkward, as he was really shy, and so was i. But eventually, we leaned over and kind of hugged each other, then we hugged again, then i finally kissed him. His eyes kind of went wide, and he jumped back in surprise. unfortunately, when he jumped, his foot slipped off the brake, so we started to roll forward.
    he slammed his foot on the brake, then said “um, lets try that again,” as he put the car into “P”

    so we leaned towards each other again, and our lips had just touched when the car started to roll backwards. He had indeed put the car into reverse.

    On the third try, we finally kissed.

    Moral of the story: Double check what gear you are in before kissing.

    My first kiss happened in the summer after sixth grade. I was in camp in the south of France (I’m half french and bilingual, but they still treated me as the wierd American). It was the night before we were supposed to take a train back to Paris and rejoin our parents.
    There was a dance that night, and it lasted till midnight. One boy asked me to dance about seven times in a row, which drew giggles and jokes from the other campers. I just figured he was being a charming frenchman.
    For some reason, as we walked away from the dance, he suggested we brush our teeth first. We got our toothpaste and toothbrushes and went to the common bathroom.
    After we had scrubbed our teeth till they resembled pearls, he walked me home to my cabin. Then he leaned down and I knew (I’d been expecting it) he was going to kiss me. I closed my eyes.
    Frankly, it was a little slimy. But otherwise it was totally awesome.
    The following day, we enjoyed a three-hour train ride back to Paris. Even the COUNSELORS were waiting for us to make out! ;-)

  31. 31 Stevo

    wow this just came back to me. it was 4-H camp and i was like twelve years old. long before i hit puberty in other words. all three nights we had a dance and it was kind of a joke, but the first two nights we danced together, and her friends kept telling me she wanted me to kiss her, i thought they where kidding. but the third night as where walking back to the cabins after the dance she asked if there was anything i wanted to say to her. i had to practically jump to kiss her (she was that much taller) and i ran away and never saw her again. that was one hell of a camp

  32. 32 Renee

    He was the hottest guy in the 8th grade. I was an awkward 7th grader. It was the last day of school, last class. The teacher was elsewhere. My best friend, knowing my incredible crush I had on this guy, dared him to kiss me. I giggled nervously, expecting a peck on the cheek. He went for my mouth and I froze.

    He tasted salty.

  33. 33 Kelsey

    I wrote about my first kiss about 5 days ago, but I have a new one…my first kiss with another girl. Let’s just say that it was wonderful, new, exhilarating and so much better than the ones I shared with my first boyfriend. We were in the school basement under the stage when she pushed me up against a wall and asked “What would you do if I just pushed you up against a wall out of nowhere?”. “Probably nothing, like right now.” I replied. Then she asked “What would you do if I just kissed you?” she asked. “Let you” I ventured. Then she goes “Can I kiss you right now?” and I gladly said “Yes.(!)”. She leaned in slowly and gave me a great open-mouthed, no tongue, no nonsense kiss. Her lips were soft and she tasted of root beer. She was gentle and so calm, not trying to rush anything. It gave me butterflies and made me happier than ever before. This is the first kiss that I will always wish was my actual first.

    I was 17 at the time. We had just gone for a long meandering night time walk around the block my house is on.

    At the time my dad was in the middle of building a large garage in our backyard. We were standing inside of it talking about whatever was on our minds. It had walls but no roof, and I remember us suddenly stop talking, looking up at the unusually clear sky and being able to see the stars very clearly. I looked back down at him and feeling an unusual tension between us.

    We must have just stared at each other like that for 5 minutes wondering if the other person was going to make a move. I couldn’t really see his face because it was so dark, but I could tell he was nervous. He finally leaned in a kissed me quickly. Thank god it was dark because I must have been bright red.

    We walked back to my house in awkward giggly silence, went into my room and made out for about half an hour until he had to go home.

    Thinking back on it, it sounds pretty romantic. But at the time it didn’t feel like it at all, it just felt right. I wouldn’t have changed anything.

    My first kiss, like most people’s, was tense and not very good now that I think about it.

    I had just turned 17 and I had a huge crush on one of my coworkers. I had told him I liked him about a month prior and he said he liked someone else. Rejected! Oh man, I was upset for weeks. It was the weekend after Valentine’s day and I asked if he had done anything with the girl he liked. He said no and we got to talking…and flirting… and I ended up agreeing to visit him at work on his break…

    So I drove my sorry ass to work a couple days later and visited him. I was so scared I could barely drive. We went out in the parking lot by his 1994 Ford Taurus and waited… He kept asking me if he could come closer and if I wanted him to make the first move. I told him no so fast. When he stepped closer, I took two steps back.

    His break, sadly, was only 15 minutes. He kept checking his watch and telling me I needed to hurry up if I wanted to kiss him. So finally I stood beside him and told him he could kiss me. He leaned down and gave me a very gentle kiss… but tried to use his tongue. I pulled away and told him I didn’t like that… then ended up kissing him again… and told him to go back to work afterwards.

    While I was driving home, I kept wondering if my lips felt any different. If I felt even remotely changed by the whole experience. I didn’t. Only later when I ended up making out with the same guy a couple times did my lips feel funny afterwards. It might have been because we sucked on each other’s faces for about an hour each time… but it’s debatable.

    Lulu

    PS. Surprisingly, our teeth didn’t click together. That happened a couple weeks later when we were rushing because I didn’t want my mom to find out we had been.. “friendly” on my couch.

  36. 36 jess

    My first kiss was during a game of truth or dare. The boy I kissed told me my tongue was big and I kicked him in the balls. The next kiss was much better. Same game of truth or dare, but second round and with the guy I liked. The whole time I was thinking - Oh my God we are kissing. How long should I do this? Should I pull away first? What does he think about my kissing? Does he think I am a newbie? I was 11. Lucky for me the over thinking does not stop at your first kiss.

  37. 37 Joe in CU

    My first kiss was on my wedding day. No, I’m not kidding.

    While it was very romantic, it was also very scary. And I don’t recommend it for everyone.

  38. 38 Joe in CU

    Oh, and I was 20. :)

  39. 39 Taryn

    My first kissed happened when i was 16 in the 11th grade. You could say i was a late bloomer. I realized i was a lesbian in 10th grade but had never kissed or dated anyone before.

    After a month of dating with my first girlfriend, it finally happened. It was just a peck but it was a lot to me. It was a little awkward after. All our kisses after that one were completely amazing and perfect. We dated for a year on and off and aren’t currently dating now but who knows for the future.

  40. 40 Tobias Ziegler

    My first kiss… that was when I was 13, with my first girlfriend. It was great. It was romantic (and I as a dude say that). We were having a picnique in the fields near Berlin (not kidding, I live there), it was a fresh late-spring afternoon, towards evening we lit the candels, talked, came closer to gether, cuddeled a little and kissed. Quite irritating when I think back, having a second tongue in your mouth for the first time, but VERY enjoyable.

    Now that i think of it, that was actually more romantic then our first sex (no, not a couple of moths later >we were 13<, with 16 to be exact)

    keep it up.

  41. 41 Rob

    Hah, I don’t think there’s an “alright” first kiss. It’s either crappy or else it’s perfect.
    I’ve had three, to be exact, with a 2:1 amazing to blegh ratio.
    So, my first was when i was a freshman in high school. I was dating a senior girl whom i had met in a shared class, and it happened at the movies. I’m kinda surprised none of the above responses had first kisses at the theater. Well, she had kissed me on the cheek before, but that’s it. I was the dorkiest kid, no lie. I had absolutely no idea what the hell was going to happen. So, we were in her car in front of the movies, waiting for her older sister to get back from inside where she was getting my ticket for the R-rated movie. Shhh. Well, we were talking, and holding hands, and leaning close to each other, and then our lips touched. Me, of course, being an adorable loser, bluffed: “I didn’t mean to do that until later”. Smoooooth. Yeah, well. I don’t count that as my first KISS, though. We went inside to the movie, and got about halfway through before we KISSED. Allow me to invite your attention once more to the fact that I had never kissed anyone or anything prior to that evening. I don’t even remember what happened. All I know is that somehow, we started kissing, and realizing that somehow her tongue had gotten into my head. And, apparently I could fake enough kisspertise (like expertise, but with kissing!) to make out for a good hour, on and off, in a dark theater. Definitely a good first kiss =]
    Ugh, I just realized that each of my first kisses has to be preceded by an awkward peck on the lips. It’s happened all three time.
    ANYWAY. Second kiss happened after a bike ride with this girl whom I had been forced to admit liking, after a brutal interrogation session. She was standing, and I was on my wheels. Note: not the best place for a kiss. Well, awkward city. Didn’t last more than a sec. A while later, we were on her couch in her basement, and spent that horrible eternity kind of looking at each other before we started making out. It’s a good tension if it’s not terribly awkward. Eh, maybe I’m different. Anyway.
    THIRD first kiss, very recent. Also preceded by an awkward peck, which was all the situation could allow, due to the fact that we were on my porch, and her dad was lurking in my driveway. The actual KISS came much later on, this time with a bearable, enjoyable awkward silence between the cessation of conversation and the kiss.
    I don’t think I really have a moral for you kiddies looking for tips, other than don’t flip out about getting sh*t wrong. Enjoy it.

  42. 42 Cait

    My first kiss was AWFUL and i barely count it because I wasnt a willing participant. I was at a party when i was 16 and a friend of mine got drunk and decided it would be a good idea to try to make out with me. He pinned me against a wall and shoved his tongue in my mouth. 2 seconds after i pushed him off me, he threw up in a bush.

    My most recent first kiss was almost mind blowing. There was so much anticipation leading up to it. I remember being on my way to meeting up with him and i knew it was going to happen. i was so nervous, even though I’ve been told in the past I was a god kisser, would he think so? then i started worrying that i was going to psych myself out. When i saw him, i could tell right away that he was thinking about it too cause he kept looking at my lips like he was trying to work up the courage. When we finally kissed, it was like fireworks went off. Kissing, i believe, can be way more intimate than sex if you let it.

  43. 43 The Ems

    Uhg, my first first kiss was awful. It was with this guy who was two years younger than me(I was 17, he was 15, late bloomer), during this awful movie he wanted to go see. It was an awkward angle, and slobbery… he tried to force his huge tongue into my mouth. Awkward.
    The first kiss I had with my current boyfriend(18) was weird, because it was sort of a three-way make-out session with some guy I barely knew and the guy I’m currently dating, both of whom were a little drunk. Not romantic, but funny. It certainly broke the tension. The first time I kissed him with just him and me, it was cute. Sort of a spider-man kiss, because he was leaning back in the car seat in front of me. He tasted like vodka and orange-juice, haha.

  44. 44 Tamara

    My first kiss was this summer, so I was 18….yes, I’m just that cool :/ We were at a drive in (so cliche), he was 23, and we were cudling which was so cute, and then he hoovered my face off….it was awful. My second kiss was with one of my friends, it was outside and we kissed, and then he kissed me on the forehead…it was so effing cute, love that guy.

  45. 45 Learethak

    Hrmmm… my first kiss was in a bus way back from Sunday School in the sixth grade. We had been flirting all day, mostly innocently, and we were all alone in the back of the bus holding hands.

    She leaned forward, eyes half closed, lips parted… and the bus hit ginormours pot-hole which caused her to fall forward ramming her nose in my eye.

    I ended up with a terrific black eye, but got a sweet sympathy kiss before I got off the bus.

  46. 46 Brian

    My first kiss was awkward…their tongue was like dry parchment and they apparently forgot where my mouth was at one point - it’s not sexy when you’re just licking someone’s cheek for over a minute. Some people say that you can tell if someone is good at sex if they are good dancers. I think the same is true for oral sex and kissers…needless to say after that first kiss nothing else really happened…i was just incredibly turned off.

    If you’re not a good kisser, unless you have a really winning personality or a huge dick you’re pretty much screwed. And I agree with the general sentiment that it’s way hotter if you let it build up to that kiss rather then make out like crazy in 5 seconds. Otherwise it just feels like a trashy hookup scenario - even if your not hooking up.

    I think you guys should definitely make a show about making out - it’s the most basic and oft overlooked part of sex.

  47. 47 Brian

    So im bi, right? And on my sixteenth birthday i met up with this amazng guy i had been talking to lately. He actually came to see me at the pool because even though it was my birthday i still had swim practice. i was so nervous and shaky and he handed me my present and i just pushed him against the wall and kissed him. My first boyfriend lol. i’ll never forget it. Every time i walk by that stairwell i smile.

    true story

  48. 48 Anonymosity

    My first kiss was barely a kiss and hardly worth mentioning. My first kiss with my current boyfriend happened when all of our mutual friends were out of town. We were both pretty drunk and the last ones awake out of his friends at his apartment. I was the only girl there and he offered to let me sleep in his bed and I wasn’t expecting anything since I was pretty sure he wasn’t interested in me even though I was clearly interested in him. So we went to bed together, fully clothed and next thing I know he’s spooning me and brushing his cheek against mine. We drifted off to sleep like that and I woke up a couple hours later in the same position and rolled over and kissed him and was surprised to have him kiss me back. We’ve pretty much been together ever since. I have to say it was the softest, sweetest first kiss I’ve ever had :)

  49. 49 Lou Lou

    My first kiss was at girl scout camp, pretty much a lesbian breeding ground. I was fifteen and had never kissed anyone before. I knew that I was attracted to girls, and had never really had a crush on a boy before. There was one girl at camp who I had my eye on; she was cute and fun and totally gay. One night, she, another girl, and myself were all sleeping outside away from the rest of the girls. We (as horny teenage girls) were talking about sex and kissing, and what we had all done and with whom. Both girls were way more advanced than I was. They noticed I was quiet and asked me what I had done. I responded tentatively that I hadn’t kissed anyone before. They were *respectfully* stunned, and asked me if I wanted to kiss them. I said yeah, what the hell, and one of the girls kissed me. It wasn’t that fantastic. Then I kissed the other girl, which was equally uneventful. It was still kind of cool though, having my first kiss at girl scout camp.
    The next night one girl (the one I kind of liked) and I slept outside together and made out for hours. So, that was alright. I’m just kidding, it was amazing. She was a pretty decent first experience.

  50. 50 CJ

    Umm I was 14 when i had my first kiss… I was out dancing with my best friend when a really cute guy starting dancing behind me, my best friend quickly excused herself telling me she was going to get a drink and that I should dance with the guy until she game back XD… Basically I was nervous as hell but it was a damn good kiss! lol

    ummm.My first kiss was the summer before my freshman year in highschool.I had been dating my boyfriend for almost a month and my dad took us out to a restaraunt.We were walking inside when my boyfriend just stopped and stared into my eyes and kissed me.It was absolutley amazing.Now,almost 6 years later,we are engaged to be married in July and I am almost 4 months pregnant with his baby.
    I love him so much.

  52. 52 Angela W.

    Wow. Well lets start at the beginning. I was in seventh grade when I got on the bus coming back from a killer geography class, just like any other day. I sat in the first seat in the bus, next to my boyfriend, Lance Lacomb, of three weeks. We were going to get our DS’s out and play mario kart just like any other day, telling sex jokes all the while. He told me his died when he played at lunch. I decided to let the fact that it was fully charged this morning go because I was to tired to get into a fight I knew would end with a break-up. We started talking about our Geography teacher (he had her first in the morning while I had her last). When he brings up something that ends with a fake fight (fight where we’re not really mad and don’t use mad voices) centered around sex. He asked if I wanted to kiss. I said we were on the bus and we would get a referal (almost like a detention kind of thing, but worse). He said he’d take the blame. I said thanks. He asked again, “So do you want to kiss?” I said ” Want to find out?” He leans in and right before our lips touch he asks again. Because I really like him so it’s hard not to say yes. Of course, I ended up saying yes. The kiss was dry, but magical. I know I shouldn’t call my first kiss magic because I’m inexperienced and don’t know what any other guy’s lips feel like, but it seemed, different. The best part? It happened five minutes ago. :)

    Even though I could have sex with other guys, I still like dating a boy who can laugh at a sex joke and not take it seriously. The weird thing is that last night I was reading some of the stories above and wondering why I was a kiss-less thirteen year old girl. The moral of my story is to be careful what (and when) you wish. It may be right under your nose. :)

  53. 53 Samantha

    My first kiss was at this ‘dance’ which was just an excuse for people to dance like sluts in a dark room. I was thirteen and I’d decided earlier that night that I was going to have my first kiss. I’ve never seen the guy since, but we started dancing and I don’t know how it happened, but we got really close and I felt his breath on my mouth so I just went for it. It was alright, I guess, but I didn’t get any big feeling from it.

    The only kiss that’s ever been amazing for was with this guy I liked last year. We got drunk (him more than me) and at first it was weird because my friends were all watching us, but eventually we got really into it and it was really good. I haven’t talked to him since.

  54. 54 yourleastfavorite

    To Angela W: That’s so awesome, congratulations! And you needn’t have worried about being “behind” or a late-bloomer for not having kissed by age 13 - I didn’t get there until 18, and I turned out OK. :)

  55. 55 Karissa

    My first kiss was completely awkward and behind a run down bowling alley and not worth counting. But my first kiss with my current boyfriend was mindblowing. We were bored and decided to go see 10,000 BC (keyword: bored), and after thirty minutes of barely cuddling, he finally got around to holding my hand. For the next half hour he occasionally stared at me, which I responded to by hiding my face in his neck. Soon enough he pulled my chin up and slowly kissed me, and it blew me away. Needless to say, we missed the next few scenes of the movie.

  56. 56 Marie

    My first kiss was about 3 weeks ago. I’m 17 and I just got back from hanging out with a friend of mine who I kinda liked. And I knew he liked me too. Well he pulled into my driveway after taking me home, and I knew it was coming. We leaned in for a kiss, but I only wanted to give him a peck because I wasn’t sure if I completely liked him like a boyfriend yet. So I gave him a peck, and leaned away, but he reached for me and said “wait”. And we kissed for a couple of seconds after that. It was ok, but later that week I told him that it wouldn’t work out between us. (don’t worry, it wasn’t because of the kiss).

    My second one was much better. We just got back from a pool party and it was about 10:30 pm. I met him for the first time that day, and we started talking. We were then in my car and he was in the drivers seat and I was in the passengers seat and he took my keys. Then after a while he said, “Lets have a thumb war, if I win, you gets your keys back, but if you win, you have to kiss me for one second-no tongue of course.” haha. Eventually he won, but we still kissed. Just a peck though. But later (in his car) we kissed some more. It was really good. ps.-We hung out this weekend at my house watching a movie, and lets just say…we weren’t watching the movie the whole time. ;)

  57. 57 Christina

    My first kiss was at…15 years old! My boyfriend and I were on a looooong bus trip back home after a marching band event…I was sleeping with my head on his shoulder. He woke me up and said, “Look up at me, let me see your beautiful eyes.” A very sweet line, but I was groggy and replied with “Urgaghg no.” and laid my head back down. A few minutes later he woke me up again and said “C’mere,” tilted my chin up, and kissed me. It was very soft and warm, and I giggled and said “That’s nice!” before going back to sleep. I’m really big on sleep.
    On all the rest of the bus trips that year we made out pretty much the whole time, and we’ve gotten very good at it nowadays.
    And I’ve just recently realized that you can have more than one first kiss! Because you get a first one with every person! How exciting this is for me to know, at age 20, and how scary. I want to kiss everyone I see, lately. That’s probably not wise.

  58. 58 Chelsea

    haha my first kiss..
    i was a freshman and the guy was a junior.. it lasted a long time but i didnt really know what i was doing. he drove me home from school and we were sitting on my couch watching one tree hill haha and we just stared at each other and we made out for about 5 minutes. It wasnt bad, but the guy was known for having the biggest mouth ever lol so it was minorly uncomfortable. not to mention the only reason i went out with him was because i liked his best friend hahaha. =]

  59. 59 sky

    my first kiss was watching satre wars

  61. 61 PaOla

    I don’t remember my first kiss (i’ve been kissing boys since I was in kinder garden), but when you really like the person you’re about to kiss is always as scary and awkward as the first one…
    I think you just have to let yourself loose and enjoy it (never think if you’re a good kisser while kissing a guy/girl, cuz your tongue and lips may get a little stupid and then none of you is going to enjoy the kiss, try closing your eyes and dont think about anything else).

    If you’re a girl you have to wait a little bit and tease the guy, wetting your lips or looking at his lips and the his eyes, then he’ll know you want to kiss him and then you can make out wildly!

  63. 63 Amber

    Ah, my first kiss happened when I was about 6 with some male fiends of mine who were were about my age. I really don’t think a first kiss is a big deal, but your first romantic kiss is.

    For example, one of my girl friends first kiss was actually with me, but that’s not really important, cause were not a couple or anything.

    I haven’t actually had a kiss with anyone I’m interested in yet.

  64. 64 thatgirl

    my first kiss was kind of. . . unfomortable? it was my first kiss, but it wasnt my boyfriends first kiss so he pretty much took the lead. But I was really nervous and stiff so it was awkward. it felt like he was trying to eat my face. I felt weird afterwords, but it was only that first one that was awkward. I guess practice makes perfect.

  65. 65 Garrett

    The first kiss… I missed. End of story.

    But the second kiss was about a month later, on the wall of a cliff just over the ocean, with the waves crashing underneath us. Sounds exaggerated, I know, but that’s how it happened.

    Needless to say, I disregard the first one.

  66. 66 jessica

    my first kiss was when i was 16. He was my best friends and i had liked him for a few months and he knew that; he just was dating other people…. anyway… we were hanging out at the local library (he had just broken up with his latest girl friend about 2 days before) and i had we were talking about relationships and stuff and i had him read a love poem i had written about him. after he read it we were quiet for what seemed like forever and then he kissed me on my cheek and i just gave him a surprised ‘dear caught in the headlights’ look and then he kissed me!

    i was so new to the whole thing that afterwards i was like “so… does that mean we’re dating now?” he laughed and said “yes, you dork.”

    we ended up dating for over a year. even though he turned out to be a major drama queen i had a lot of fun dating him. <333

  67. 67 Pingina

    My first kiss i didn’t get until i was 16. i was in the bar (yes, i had friends) i was just starting to get a buzz when this guy that i liked just starts looking at me. i was feeling confident so i asked him why. “You have no idea how much i want to kiss you right now” i was caught a little off-guard, so i told him that i was sorry and kept drinking.

    a while later (i don’t know how much longer) he was standing behind me and i turned to talk to him. i had actually forgotten what i was going to say. then he kissed me. it was full-on, make-out, lick-your-face kind of kiss. i think the sloppy-ness might have been my fault, though.

    i don’t reccomend getting drunk for your first kiss to anyone…because that will only lead to first other things, if you know what i mean.

    Good luck with you kissing adventures averyone! may they be good ones!

  68. 68 Pinguina

    i just want to add that you shouldn’t get drunk to have sex either becasue that will never turn out good. i hardly remember my first time. don’t make my mistake

  69. 69 Robert

    I would have to say that every time I kissed a girl for the first time,
    (especially when I was young) It was like The First One. nervous, hesitant,
    and a little scared. I enjoyed them all.

  70. 70 Nick

    Uhg. I don’t have a first kiss story. But hopefully I will soon.
    And you can poke fun if you wish, since I’m fifteen and have not had a girlfriend yet, but I was homeschooled. And trust me, that does have it’s drawbacks.

    Anyway, wish me luck! As I have found one awesomeful girl that I’m hopefully going to ask out.

    Yay.

    ~~~Peace, Love, and condoms~~~
  71. 71 Nicki
    Well my first kiss i think i was like 5 or 6? I am not sure. I think Abby was my first real kiss i dont think i kissed my neighbor Becky? Ok yea to others this may seem a little young but we were kids. I remember it because i was younger than Abby by like a year. We would hang out all the time and play and also with other neighbor kids. That day i cant remember where we were but we were sitting down and she told me that i was cute and she liked me. I was like “ok” i didnt kno what to say i was so young. Then she just kissed me. I dont know what happened exactly after that but i remember her and I used to make out and I cant remember it all becuase i was young and once i also remember this one time her and i were in this club house and we were making out and i took my top off. Some people may say that i am lying but this really did happen. Abby was a sexual kid. I dont know why but i think she was exposed to alot of it. As a kid i think all kids are exposed to the idea of sex and what happens. But abby hit on me. After a while I told her that i was uncomfterable with kissing her. I felt it was wrong. I dont think i got a chance to think about my first kiss at all. Then when i got my first boyfriend last year, kissing i was worried but it came naturally and i loved to make out with him. So kissing?? Ive had other bfs but i like to kiss. Other people shouldnt worry it just happens, When i was younger i wasnt the best kisser but i caught on.
  72. 72 allie
    My first kiss was back in 6th grade. My boyfriend that i had then were walking together to the busses and my bestfriend pulled us between a locker and told us to kiss. Lame.. i know. .but it was still cute. just a little peck. After that we could kiss without anyone telling us to lol..
    First actual make out was the summer after seventh grade.. Me and my boyfriend then were jumping on my trampoline and then we just sat down looking up at the stars and he put his arm over me and started kissing me, and i didnt open my mouth or anything lol .. it was awkward but we just laughed it off and i re-did it ..But the right way. It was fun.. now im a freshman and i have to admit i have gotten a lot better at it. <3
  73. 73 Katie
    Let me give you a little background before I tell everything.
    So this guy I had met at a friends party about 2 years ago and I started talking on the phone, He went to another school so we couldn’t really see each other much, we hung out a few times just as friends, like going to the mall or just hanging out at the park. After those few experiances I started to like him, he was fun to be around and everything, he had liked me ever since that party I went to. Well after I told him I liked him, he wanted to hangout again, but it couldn’t really fit into any of out schedules, so about 2 months after waiting for a time slot we hang out at his place, It was kind of awkward at first, I got into the car and it was like someone had put a wall between us, I couldn’t think of anything to say, neither could he. after a while I get tired of the silence and think of something to say(I don’t exactly remember what the topic was about) and we ended up holding hands, We got back to his house and his dad isn’t there and I had a minor freakout moment, turns out he planned it that way… So when we get inside he just grabs me up into a bear hug and won’t let go of me which I thought was really cute. After the hug he suggested we go upstairs and watch a movie, I get comfy on the couch and wait for him to come sit down.then he sits down to where I can lay on him while watching the movie, while I am doing this I can feel his heart beat get faster and faster, I looked up at him and asked if he was okay, then right then and there he kissed me. That was our first and wasn’t our last. =]
    my first real kiss. hmm, what a curious thing, to kiss one that you feel strongly for.
    my story starts at a school-sponsored dance. the lights had been dimmed in the gym and i was single. i had been thinking of this one boy while i was there, and i was openly flirting with him anyway. i decided i wanted to dance with him on a slow song, and i came up behind him to hug him. i knew he liked me but i was still very nervous! he took me in his arms and we danced for a while, then he looked into my eyes and kissed me lightly on the lips. that preceded us making out. i still laugh about it to this day,but i told him i wanted to taste his tongue. interesting line right? well it worked and we made out and we lasted for a while. im still friends with him to this very day
    Lol, not much experience in this department. I’ve never kissed anybody. I think kissing is great and all, but i doubt I’ll ever really enjoy as much as I’m told i should. My thoughts on making out are kinda childish; i think it’s gross. I mean, i just have problems with all the saliva, and the sucking noises i hear from other kids when they do it just make me want to reach back and slap someone. So i dunno……
    My first kiss was this past Valentine’s Day. This girl that I found out liked me (whom I would date starting from that day) was basically waiting for me to make a move. Being Valentine’s Day, I knew I had to do something special. Her being allergic to the real stuff, I bought a vase, fake blue flowers, and a ton of chocolate. Filling the vase with the chocolate and faux bloomers, I hid the gift in my school’s merchandise shop where I worked before and after class. Come the middle of the day, I hurried to the main office and told them to call her out and meet her at the shop. Anxiously I waited, seeing as I tried to ignore her up until that point. She walks through the door with a smile on her face and I, stunned by her beauty, awkwardly gave her the gift. Separated by the shop’s counter, she thanks me and motions in. I take my cue and meet her in the middle for a kiss. Truly a moment I will never forget. The feel, the smell, the sight, the memory.
    It’s weird to say that I got my first kiss at 17 because it makes me feel like a noob to everyone else. Hell, I haven’t even had sex yet. At least I’m old enough to consider what it meant to me instead of just another peck on the lips.
    I dated the girl for almost a month and she dumped me. Since then, I’ve made out/kissed only two other chicks. Girls, hit me up!
    My first kiss was when i was about 8 years old with a girl! weird i know! It was under the dining table and we just kissed but were completely grossed out after. My second and REAL kiss was when i was about 12 and i kissed a guy before any of my other friends did and it was fine. Advice? Just go with the flow, simple as that x
    p.s. I love the show and I think that it’s the best way to give sex advice… Schools and parents are too shy to talk about it in a real and comfortable way these days..
    my first kiss…
    i was 14
    it was at the dollar movies, cheesy i know,
    but i brought 2 of my best friends who were girls
    and i had felt strong for both of them,
    then i leanded over and made out with Cristy,
    then leaned over the other way and made out with
    Courtney…
    my first kiss, with 2 girls, and a full on make out
    session for 45 min with one and then 45 min with another,
    best time of my life
    Have you ever seen those cartoons/comic/anime/manga where the guy leans in, kisses his crush, and the girl’s eyes grow big and wide with shock? That’s pretty much how my first kiss went, and I should of been expecting it. Heck, I did expect it. We were watching a movie…and the next thing I know is I lost my kissing virginity. Oh well.
    The next few kisses? My eyes weren’t wide anymore.
    I’m a long time fan of the show, and I think it’s cute, reading about people’s first kisses.
    I actually didn’t kiss anyone until I was 19 and at college. At the time, I was in love with someone else (she didn’t know) and wanted to keep my options open. So, I met a cute boy and kissed him– mostly because I could. The relationship didn’t go any furthur than that– I realized that I still had issues about kissing and sex that hadn’t been resolved. I apologized to the guy in question and backed out of the dating pool as quickly and imperceptably as I’d begun wading in.
    There is a happy ending to this, however– I got together with the girl that I loved, had many happy kisses for about 6 months before a nasty breakup and a brief obsession with Stabbing Westward songs. I then moved comfortably on to losing my virginity at age 21 (he was a friend and a good guy) and an adult life of fun and bouncy sex. (I’m currently 28, for the record.)
    Moral of this story: Don’t worry, late bloomers. It’ll happen when you’re ready, and you’ll know when that is– it’s when you’re tired of waiting and are ready to go get what you want.
    My first kiss…was pretty lame. Watching all those shows with surprise kisses that go down so smoothly really don’t help…or at least, not for me. I’ve learned that surprise kisses don’t work that well…but at least they’re something funny to laugh an embarassed laugh at. When I had my first kiss, no bells went off…I was like…”wow. that was um…okay.” it really wasn’t anything huge for me. That sounds bad, but i think it’s because for about two weeks we kissed each other on the cheeks. What i liked was when we actually got to making out. Now, first kisses are okay, but for me…the bells go off when the snogging occurs.
    My first kiss was about a month ago.I’m 18. he is 20. (I had another kiss before this one but I was a surprise in fifth grade and it was on my ear and I just don’t count that crap.) It was… cool and kinda funny. We had been talking online for a couple of weeks and I met him and I think he wanted to kiss me then but i just hugged him and then we talked for a little while and i knew he was going to try but I couldn’t do it. So finally he had to go and he leaned in and… I hugged him and laughed cuz i knew that wasn’t what he wanted and i don’t remember much how it happened but while it happened i thought what should i do!, is this his tongue?, and stop thinking and realized it felt good then tried wiggle my lips around then pull away because he wasn’t going to. On the home I did see fireworks, how ironic?
    There is actually only two weeks and three days since I had my first kiss. Well, it is kind of lame, but I met the guy on the internet. And yes, on a dating site. Lame to the max.
    Anyways, I live in another part of the country so I just flew alone to his city (that way I would first meet him in public). My plane was too fast so I had time to grab my bags and wait a bit before I saw him.
    Anyways, we knew each other very well (by chatting a lot on msn and seeing each other on webcam) and we had decided it wouldn’t have to be awkward! So we planned to go straight to his place and just do it.
    Yes, I know. Incredibly stupid. But it payd off!
    Long silence in the car, then we got to his house, went to his bedroom and just sat on his bead.
    He leaned forward to me and we kissed for a second, then I broke it off and said I couldn’t kiss, I didn’t know how. Then he laughed and just kissed me again. Then after five minutes of kissing and “put your tounge more out” we “played ludo”.
    Five days later I flew home to my city. And tomorrow I am going back to him to stay over the summer ^^,
    P.S. This dating site, there were about 30 guys I talked to (the other 40 were about 20years old for me…) and I found only around three of them were normal. So it is not the safest way to find someone…
    hmm. My first kiss… about a month after I turned 13. He was (and still is) my best friend. We started playing a “game”… without revealing details, we pretty much teased and pushed each other into kissing. It was only on the cheek or forehead at first… he said he would kiss me on the lips, and I said he wouldn’t dare. He looked me in the eyes, and I looked away- so he gently cupped my chin and turned my face towards him, stared at me for a moment, and leaned in and kissed me.
    It was absolutely perfect.
    My first kiss happened when I was 8 or 9, with a neighbourhood boy. It happened at the bottom of the stairs below his parents’ apartment (I lived off the first stairwell on our block, he lived off the third).
    Not too long after that we moved and I didn’t see him again until I was in college. One day I got off the bus and a woman distributing leaflets door-to-door hailed me. It was him - but only just. She was living as a woman and had the big operation a couple of months later.
    Well, I’d met this guy named Chris during this summer nanotech (science is sexy :D) program at a nearby university. After making our solar-powered robots and having lots of fun with freezing stuff in liquid nitrogen, we decided to wait for our parents since neither of us were actually driving yet. We sat down on the sidewalk, facing this beautiful, lush, green vale (I don’t know what else to call it, but…it was this pretty grassy area. Sorry! I’m being overly nitpicky, but I can still remember it very clearly…) and talked about science…and love…and he eventually asked me if I’d kissed anyone before. He leaned in and said that he was going to kiss me, but I turned away and put my head on his shoulder because I was so, so nervous.
    And then I looked up into his eyes and took his hand.I kissed him, right then and there. It was amazing– I remember that his hands were warm, but strangely rough, but after swapping stories with other people, I feel very, very lucky to have had a really good first kiss.
    I wish that it had worked out :-/ because he was a really sweet guy, but…we lost touch, and we went in our own separate directions.
    Chris, if you read this, all I want to say is…thanks for showing me a really great time that one perfect, July afternoon.
    haha dont let your first kiss be because of a dare.
    thats just a bad BAD idea.
    It looses its meaning and everyone has to see it.
    big bummer.
    And also, when it came to my first makeout session… i mistakenly said the words “but i dont know how” so it totally ruined the moment.
    So the best thing you can do is definitly just go for it, who cares if you suck, you will get over that hurtle and wanna keep facing more. =]
    My boyfriend and I had been dating for about a month (I was fourteen at the time), and I was going positively crazy waiting for the almost a-sexual freshman to kiss me. Finally, I pinned him down on the couch in my garage, and we were running our fingers over each other’s face and we both leaned in to kiss, and it was fine, until he sneezed on my face, laughed at me, and then walked away.
    Memorable, not fun.
    The best first kiss I ever had was when I was sixteen, and my boyfriend and I were sitting (actually, on the same couch, I have a thing for my garage), and we were watching Donny Darko, a movie that absolutely terrifies me. He promised to protect me, and kissed me. The thing that made it so perfect was that instead of just pushing himself on me, he kept asking me if I was okay, because he knew that I have horrible claustrophobia and I’m scared of being suffocated. That one was memorable and fun.
