Bravo for bringing the truth about safe oral sex to teens (and hopefully, their parents!). The recent HPV discussion has neglected to remind people that neither a vaccine nor abstaining from coitus/intercourse keeps one from contracting a number of STIs/STDs, including HPV. It doesn't matter if you don't swallow, or chase whatever you've done with a beer (yes, I read about that practice)--all one needs to get infected is their own, willing mouth. Your series is fabulous--hope to see more!

I don't understand people who think that if kids aren't provided with information about sex, they won't do it. That seems to be the main idea behind those who are critical of this podcast. If you don't provide info, the kids will do it anyway, get pregnant, get STDs, and probably not enjoy it as much. The rising teen pregnancy rate is being linked to the "just say no" sex education policy so we have an example of what this attempt at an information blackout results in. Those "Family Counsel" people should probably all get involved with helping the teen parents they helped create.

A little math, unscientifically compiled from various sets of numbers that caught the attention of this particular observer:

If by the age of 21, 85% of Americans are no longer virgins, and if the average age of marriage for women is 27 (and it is higher for men), and if 90% for Americans say they believe in God...

...just about everyone, including people with good religious (most likely Christian in this country) upbringings, is getting it on before marriage--hell, even before legal drinking age. That is why information is important. You can't stop sex. That is what we are made to do. But you can provide information. And you can start conversations.

Keep talking. And if anybody from any place that has "Family Counsel" in the name starts disapproving, just stick your fingers in your ears and keep on working.

And if that many people are watching, perhaps it means you kids are on to something...

And I heard rumors regarding this long ago, but Guy, I am so glad to see that those carpenter jeans really did bite the dust. Nice legs, sailor.
