That’s right, I am too much of a wimp to keep up with this. Now go on and actually read the bits below.

SFSI was founded in 1972 as an information and referral switchboard providing free, confidential, accurate, non-judgmental information about sex. Volunteers undergo extensive training in all aspects of human sexuality, including reproduction, birth control, safer sex practices, HIV, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
SFSI offers a free phone switchboard staffed by trained volunteers six days a week. If you have a question about sex, they’ll either answer it or refer you to someone who can. Switchboard staff can recommend resources (like books and websites) that may help find the information you are looking for. If you prefer email, you may email SFSI instead at questions@sfsi.org. Note that for urgent questions, you must call the phone switchboard.
Here’s what SFSI switchboard volunteers have to say about this partnership:
“Just this past weekend we answered an STD risk question for a teen in Ohio and changed her mindset from panic to calm in minutes. It doesn’t get any more meaningful for us.” - Billy
“I’m really looking forward to answering new questions from a whole new group of people. It’s great that SFSI and MTSS can pool our resources to make sure we reach as many people as possible. I think connecting with other people doing the same kind of work to share information and learn from each other will make us all better sex educators.” -Edith
“The nice thing about emailing us is you can take your time writing the question out. It’s low pressure. Then we get some time to look up the answers and reply. Win win!” -Debbie
SFSI can be reached at (415) 989-SFSI (7374), Monday through Thursday, 3p.m.-9p.m., Friday 3p.m.-7p.m., and Saturday 2p.m.-6p.m. You can always email them at questions@sfsi.org, or visit their website at www.sfsi.org.
“SFSI is ready to help you. We’ve got our energy drinks in the fridge. Bring it on.” -Marc, switchboard volunteer
Note from Nikol: No, I was not offered any energy drinks. And that upsets me.
