God Says Do It! Seven Days of Sex

While we’ve been accused of being Godless heathens here at MTSS, our cast and crew ranges from atheists to evangelicals. That’s why I’m delighted by Rev. Ed Young’s challenge to his married parishioners to have sex for seven consecutive days with their spouses. It’s nice to hear that sex is being encouraged in arena that often avoids the topic. Check out the video and leave a comment.

Please note: Puppers will help any married couples that need assistance in the bedroom.

Sex is more fun when you share!

    I’ve heard of this before!!
Here in Denver, there were several couples in the parish having lots of financial trouble, and it was wearing on their marriage.
They confided in their pastor about the situation and he told them to have sex everyday for 2 weeks.
    Low and behold, IT WORKED!!!!
    Sex is a cure-all, I’m telling you.
And really, kudos to the priests who support the cause.

This is great and also I think that MTSS has been a great success in a funny yet educational way. I read the article on the “godless heathens” talk nutjobs. I rather have sex ed. being taught in school. Nikol keep up the great work!

yeah, I think the only unfortunate thing is that this pastor, while progressive, is not accepting of homosexuality, I’m a gay christian, and while I wouldn’t call this man a bigot, I get the impression (from his rare but firm oppositions to homosexuality) that he is jealous of the semi-factual myth that gays have really great kinky sex (i mean, once your not ashamed of yourself, the door seems so wide open) in any case, that is just a passing observation, Ed Young seems like a nice man at heart. But for the record, I come to this site because I want to get better, but to many gay guys, the huffing and screaming and cussing and spanking just come so naturally, and I think it would also be a great lesson for our straight brethren… but thats just me, lol

I don’t know . . . I first heard of this and felt good about it, but lately, I’ve been looking into the criticism and find a lot of it is wel-founded.

Especially this blog, which opens up some good questions:

I think it’s a great idea. I think alot of couples get into a busy routine and sex gets left out. I also think it’s good that the church is talking about sex. It’s such a taboo subject. When he said he wanted god in the bedroom (or was it the bed) I found that weird, but hey, if he wants to be there….

I hope he told them to use birth control responsibly.
