The reason austin couldn't achieve his "dream" of cane balancing wasn't because he wasn't focused on it . . . he wasn't able to achieve his dream because the mad twatter kept taking the cane away from him . . . Way to ruin a child's future by preventing him from doing something as awesome as balancing a cane . . . or masturbating . . . 0.o

Heh. So wrong. If he really wanted to prevent teens from _any_ chance of pregnancy or STD's, then you'd think he'd be talking about masturbation for half his show. That's the outlet if you're not having couples sex. That's truly safe sex.

The truth is that this man's problem isn't really with intimacy at all. People like this simply believe that unmarried folks shouldn't be having orgasms - not in any way, shape, or form. That's the real bottom line.

I think the real reason he's educating people about abstinence is because he never got any. And never will. So he wants to feel like less of a loser so he doesn't feel the urge to hang himself.

Fair play to him for trying to do something about what he obviously believes in, but I have to agree that not only is he going the wrong way about it, but that kind of 'I'm right and there's no room for compromise' just makes me want to go out and not practice abstinence just to annoy him!

Generally the most convincing arguments use some form of facts and/or evidence, not comparing premarital sex to a machete.

What risk is he talking about when talking about premarital sex? If you know your partner and trust him/her, have STD tests before, use protection and are educated, what is the risk?

This is the worst kind of "teaching": Telling a kid what to do without really explaining why. How is the kid supposed to learn if it doesn't get taught the underlying principle? He is merely planting fear into their minds to push his belief onto others.

Beautiful example of yet another adult utterly failing to relate to teens. He's right--it is real hard to get pregnant if you don't put it in there--but he hardly represents a compelling case for the straight and narrow. That's right, kids! No sex, drugs, or drinking and you TOO will be able to juggle well and wear The Small Red Derby Hat of Incredible Earnestness! Listen, if I had my way, teens would not drink, smoke, do drugs, or have sex either, but I know that ain't gonna happen, and characters such as this one help reinforce the notion that abstinence is for dorks and losers. I mean, juggling? Juggling well requires a lot of time and the only people with that kind of time are WAY too lame to get laid. It's a bit frustrating that this is what gets peddled to kids. Teens can do some incredibly stupid things, but they are savvy enough to realize that drinking/smoking/doing drugs/having sex does NOT simply equal death and the only person in the room who seems to actually believe that is wearing a red hat and juggling. Nice effort, dude, but that act isn't going to sell ANYONE who wasn't already sold.
